I've read a shit ton of textbook rhetoric on this from both sides, and it's like a special olympics armpit farting contest. The Temecula school board President Joseph Komrosky ignored that nearly 400 parents in a district review program had vetted the curriculum, and more than 90% supported it. Joe's proclaimed offense was a social studies book that included a single mention of openly gay Mayor Harvey Milk's assassination. It's not like this state went sex crazy all of a sudden though. I've hated Gavin Nonsense since 2003 when he was mayor of SF, but pinning all this "pornographic" book shit on him is not exactly accurate. The California Board of Education has been including curriculum with contributions of LGBTQ Americans since 2006. And that was under a Republican governor. 5 years later, it was all quiet on the Western front when Jerry Brown signed the law making it a state requirement for public schools in 2011. Although Nonsense jumps on the all inclusive gravy train like a pig on slop, after it was challenged by the right, in 2018 the left's elected State Board of Education moved to sure up Jerry's law. The $1.5mil penalty was all Gavin though. Now that both sides are gearing up for 2024, and have made gay inclusive textbooks their political red haring du jour, the propaganda puppet show is in full overdrive distraction mode. And just like every primary election period, parrot shit is flying in all directions. Idiocracy is ny upon us. If De-scentt-toes and Nonsense are all the establishment has to offer, I'm voting for AI just to be done with it.

He was having a relationship with a 16 year old boy.Another one of those things that get conveniently forgotten about.At the time it was legal in the state he lived in.Don't remember what state.

Yeah, I looked it up and it was in NY state, where the age of consent was 14 in the sixties. Doesn't make it any less creepy though. Fact is "sodomy", "buggery" or "sins of carnal nature" were illegal in NY until 1980, but I don't think they were giving it much of a shit in NYC back then.
