Just got back form the SEMA show. I haven't had time to do anything.

 

I am going to my first race tomorrow in the MX520. I can't race yet because I need to add a cage. That will happen this winter. I'm going to run "time trials". It's still wheel to wheel on the track, just not a race. Whoever gets the best single lap time wins.

 

I taped a brake light to the back so I'm legal to run. I'll get some pics up!

Results from Sundays Time Trial event. This was a 1.4 mile road course with 9 turns.

 

There were 10 cars in my run group. Here's how the MX520 stacked up;

 

Position - best time - car

 

1 - 1:06.754 - 2008 Corvette Z06

2 - 1:07.423 - Factory Five Cobra

3 - 1:08.886 - 1966 Datsun MX520

4 - 1:10.366 - 2003 Corvette Z06

5 - 1:11.763 - 2004 BMW

6 - 1:12.086 - Pontiac Firebird GTA

7 - 1:12.734 - 2004 Mazdaspeed Turbo Miata

8 - 1:13.648 - 2000 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra "R"

9 - 1:14.585 - 2004 Corvette

10 - 1:15.270 - Eagle Talon

My son Bobby said that some of the Porsche drivers were referring to it as a "Monster" as they sat and watched it go around the track.:lol:

Vintage style numbers...magnetic, so you could drop them for trips down the strip in the Springs:D

 

I was going to do the little Jeep, Ford, Dodge, Suzuki emblems when I had my Land Cruiser FJ60...just like the WWII fighter planes...a very good idea for this truck, since you are already have the "rep" as being a little bad-az buzz bomber...bringing the doom and demise of BMW and Vette owners everywhere...:lol:

 

Seriously...I have a friend that makes stickers that are very high quality and I could talk to him about the idea...he would love it!:)

 

Wasn't there someone on here that makes them too though?
