datzenmike Posted August 30, 2015 Report Share Posted August 30, 2015 pics, Mike!!!!! You've all seen them. They were on all 70s and up to mid 80s GMs. This one was a Cutlass Supreme. Anyway I've always liked their oval glass and pointy front with an oval pedestal. I find them elegant and tasteful and not chrome and obvious. I put one on my goon in the spring but didn't want to use the remote cable so I cut it off, which was a big mistake as this is what makes the mirror stable. I had to jam cardboard in it to hold it in position. Well with this one I'll be drilling the proper hole for it. The other side is only hand adjustable although I do have a remote one for the right side. To use you have to drill holes in the door and door jam and run the cable under the glove box to around the lighter. In fact you could use the lighter hole in the dash for the remote adjuster. The right side is also that curved glass that allows a wider field of view than flat glass. 1 Link to comment
