rebuilt the half shafts on friday that helped my issues ,....... bu the slushy isn't cutting it ... so it was "hey lets swap trannys real quick u have everything" .,... well 510 are way more swap friendly then a 521 so the guberplant came with and is going in too ... sigh.... fuck ... please go as planned ....... lotta variables... mike malone off face book saved my bacon for some center pull throttle cable action ... getting the rest of the stuff together... using a 280zx fly wheel and clutch... wish i had time to lighten it or find one but oh well ... robbing more parts off the wagon like slave and hard line ... prolly a mistake but oh well ... we will see

OH YEAH      FOR SALEZ....jatco 3n71b works great low miles ... everything there from spacers to bolts to flex plate and fly wheel

Shorter motor mounts may fix that...

tried a 620 or 720 drivers side mount and it lowered it a little .... sits leveler in the car ..... if any more is needed to clear the hood it i will space the cross member down .... its like 1/4 inch if anything ... i just dont wanna expose anymore oil pan to the elements .... maybe i should dry sump it ......lol what am i smoking

Have you guys considered welding in a sump guard? This is what Mike Spreadbury does on sr20 swapped roadsters. He's the owner of Spriso motorsports.

He welds a bar across the bottom of the cross member that hangs just a little lower than the oil pan. That way it smashes first. (He noted on this pic that this guard is too short. It's 1.5 inch and since then he uses 2 inch. Pic taken from 311s.org)

so the stock l 16 mounts weren't gonna fly ... valve cover was hitting the hood....well pulled all mounts out and found some 720 mounts ... they are shorter ... but only would work on the drivers side.... lowered the motor enough to clear the hood latched...but what ever u give on top u add on the bottom ...

hangs down more then i want it too .... but experienced in low shit so im hopin that i can make it work the other option was spacing the x member down ..... might still do that ... or build a skid plate.... who knows ... but its coing along .. big thanks to busta helping me withthe food in my beard ... pedal swap was easier your way

gotta figure out my tranny x member..... sits right but the mounts dont line up ... using dime quarterly spacers with a 4 sp x member and 4 sp mount like out lined but its seems te brackets need to e mounted so the x member is forward of the original position of the member.... wondering if a at car has a different location of x member...
