Peso crushed after Mexican president cancels meeting in latest international Twitter spat

Twitter diplomacy just ripped the Mexican peso, again.

The currency was down more than a percent against the U.S. dollar after Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto canceled a meeting with President Donald Trump, in a dispute over Trump's border wall. It later reversed some of the losses.

Pena Nieto was expected to visit the U.S. next week to discuss immigration and trade issues, and Mexican officials have been meeting with the Trump administration ahead of time.

US Border Patrol chief ousted after Trump revealed wall plans, official says

The Border Patrol chief has been forced out a day after Donald Trump announced an ambitious plan to build a wall at the Mexican border and hire 5,000 Border Patrol agents, a US official told the Associated Press.

Mark Morgan told senior Border Patrol agents about his ouster during a brief video conference on Thursday morning, saying he was asked to leave and that he decided to resign rather than fight the request, according to the official, who was on the call. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussion was not intended to be made public.

Customs and Border Protection said Morgan’s last official day in office would be Tuesday.

Morgan was named to the post in June and took office in October.

Miami-Dade mayor ends sanctuary status, citing Trump's order

The mayor of Miami-Dade County, Fla., on Thursday ordered his local jails to comply with President Trump's executive order on immigration enforcement in light of the administration's threat to cut funding to places that act as "sanctuaries" for illegal immigrants.

“In light of the provisions of the Executive Order, I direct you and your staff to honor all immigration detainer requests received from the Department of Homeland Security,” Mayor Carlos Gimenezwrote in a memo to the interim head of the corrections and rehabilitation department, as reported by the Miami Herald.

So. I'm guessing you guys will put a positive spin on Trump losing his entire senior management in the State department. They all resigned together. There were many other key resignations all at once, but losing the senior members all at once must have Trump steaming. Making little fists.

They all were going to be fired, just got out the door before being handed a pink slip.

any one of them would have beat the felon.

I doubt that, the American people lost faith in the establishment, that's why in the end there was two non establishment going head to head in the R side, Trump destroying Cruz is further evidence of middle america and blue collars saying "NO MORE POLITICIANS"

Business as usual politicians are on the run now.
