q-tip
If you are going low, please get adjustable lca's and tc rods. Quote Link to comment
jeph
no i plan to have at least a finger gap above each wheel i want the car to be functional, and do a few road course days. im not into the super low, blown oil pan, binding axle stuff lol. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
If you want to do track days with the proper setup I would also suggest LCA modification and adjustable tc rods. You can only get 2° of caster on stock parts 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
You don't NEED spacers, I don't run any. 24 510s deep, I've never run them either. The one car I did put them on, it increased bumpsteer. ^_^ But never run super low and always run 280ZX struts, so... 1 Quote Link to comment
jeph
a little update, did some more work on the engine bay, ended up spraying it with a new rustoleum texture paint called galaxy, did not know it had metal flake in it but its starting to grow on me and doesn't look too bad. Decided to hit up the brake lines with some steel whool its crazy how much better they look lol Also anyone know what these would be called? they sit on top of the coilovers in the front and rest underneath the camber plates. these ones are chewed lol Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Top hats are pretty cheap, if you're running the t3 coil over and camber plate youll need to top hat with the bearings in them Quote Link to comment

jeph
Got some work done today, i cleaned and painted my strut tubes, and took apart and rebuilt/cleaned the windshield wiper motor And the motor is in!!! Radiator is close but has plenty of room not bad for a ebay radiator. Also Ran into a problem today for some reason the lower ball joints i ordered are bigger taper then the ones i took off. Any ideas what i did wrong? summit said they are for a 1970 datsun 510. 2 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
68-69 are 11mm stud and 70-73 are 14mm stud, it should fit. Maybe its misboxed? Quote Link to comment

Because the ball joint is to large and won't fit the knuckle it looks like someone replaced parts with early `69's or 68's but who would do that. Seems odd so with that I would ck to see if the tie rod ends fit the centerlink and the end of the turning knuckle. Quote Link to comment
jeph
The parts i ordered are Mog-k9011 - ball joints Mog-es483r Mog-es486l Mog-es487l Mog-es489r - tie rods Quote Link to comment
