897 mile round trip was made for rats with dats and canby shows this past weekend. went down the 101, lots of pictures were taken along the way. only serious issue for the entire trip was she popped a leak in one of the few remaining original braided coolant hoses. replaced with fuel hose but held strong for the drive home, will get a proper fix later we're taking a week off so she can rest and eventually get unloaded. picked up a center console and new tail light covers at canby along with another radio bezel and will decide which one to remove the numbers from for the radio install later if it's even still required with the center console..... also got a set of show plates for her, they are absolutely gorgeous in my less than honest and overly biased opinion

pictures from the trip in no particular order not including the ones my girl took along the way. well, kinda start to finish

stopped for food in astoria, stretched and hugged at hug point and stretched at devils churn. good trip. it was krystals first time riding in little miss (she's heard plenty about her and actualy likes that i work on my cars and promotes my hobby) and there were no complaints from either of the two girls. it was absolutely wonderful

i highly suggest making it. with no destination or time line on the trip. so many places we wanted to stop and look around but had to get to eugene.

random pictures of the truck while down there:

the leak first, played with the lights the first night there

holy balls loading this page sucks, so many pictures, i love it

but on a little miss related note, got home with a little inspiration today. grabbed the radio bezel and center console out of the back of the truck on the way in the house along with my tent that needed set up so that it could dry out. set up tent, unpacked the dirty dishes from the back of the truck, grabbed a bucket and put a light dawn/heavy water solution in it and began wiping. console cleaned up pretty well as did the bezel. number plate had to be removed from the bezel (thank god for nail files) and i will have to remove more material out from the opening in the bezel to clear the radio face as it is riding, hard. but, got a mock-up mount done and time for bed now. bezel and center console were picked up from tdaaj at canby on sunday. was telling my copilot for the trip about how i wanted a center console on friday on the drive down. sadly, still don't have cup holders but hey that can be figured out later

the entire console with radio mocked up, need to tighten some screws and nuts to finalize still

it will be properly centered when i'm done with it and the cross "bar" that runs across to seperate the numbers from the buttons will be removed pulling the face further out of the bezel. just have to figure out how i'm going to do it and i think i have an idea. holes may be drilled into this center console at some point to allow for wires, i'm not sure yet i may run them into the glove box instead depending on how everything works out. which would be even worse as i have a perfect glove box insert right now. might have to fab one of those up at some point just so i can tamper with it..... fuck this got challenging quick
