hobospyder
Yeah, I'm still not looking forward to this part. dropping the tank? if it's early 620 than 6 bolts and probably easiest to just cut the hoses. it's my second time so the hoses were the easy part. except the one that attaches to the hardline for intake. that one sucked, busted out the heatgun on it to soften it up a little (didn't work) and came off just fine after twisting it 2 Link to comment
hobospyder
blew out the hardline today, clear solvent came out. took the sending unit out of the tank..... yeah, that's where my issue is. really isn't that much in there but definitely my issue. probably just going to take the tank to a shop if i can find one willing to clean and coat for me. 1 Link to comment

hobospyder
He doesn't want to do it suring winter because youre supposed to do the coating in 60+ degree weather he said. I want it done right so im willing to wait since I can't do it in my house. The shop aint too far from home and i dont feel like driving further south with a gas tank in my car 1 Link to comment
hobospyder
so, uh.... minor update for little miss had an idea searched for an image that matched my idea and bought this because it was the best i could find and it was pretty badass looking so this was bought off ebay from britain got scanned printed and installed onto the panel by the hippie and i put the panel back into the hood, not permanent install, gotta clear coat over the top and get some pop rivets and a rivet tool. but i think it looks pretty badass might wait for the warmer weather for the clear coat, rainy and damp out there right now 3 Link to comment
hobospyder
i had been wanting to do something with that panel since i saw an airbrushing on the underside of a newer mopar car at griots when i went with q-tip. glad you guys like it. like redeye and i were talking about when i picked it up, it's the minor differences that make these cars so cool. a bit of the owners personality always makes them cool. might not be tieing the back rest of the seat in properly but that might get something different in the long run 1 Link to comment

Just clean that thing out with orange solution and coat it yourself in your heated garage. Otherwise, drop it off at a paint shop and ask if they can coat it and drop it in the dry booth when another car gets painted. Just 2 pennies here! 1 Link to comment

hobospyder
Also im lazy and don't want to do it myself and risk screwing up. And neither my garages nor shop are heated. Only inside the house and there's no doing it in there 1 Link to comment

hobospyder
been on a fast and the furious kick since last night. watched tokyo drift after breakfast and while watching it started remembering a quote. and then heard it, so printed out a picture off the internet to hang in the shop and proceeded to follow the advice. this winter is tear down for little miss. the bed is ready to be pulled off, and everything body wise except the doors are off of the cab. about ready to start pulling the motor and break the body loose. trying to get down to the frame so that i can start cleaning and painting there. and best place to start replacing and fixing is from the ground up right? 2 Link to comment
