Laecaon
Oh you goon, dont mount them as far forward. I have little added visibility because I mounted mine where I did. Further back would allow you to see more out of the passenger mirror. But those look sick on a 521! Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
when they go on the goon i will for sure consult your thread....i do anyways for alot of my goon stuff....thanks i like them too... Quote Link to comment
skyblue
Looking good man. I've wanting a set like that for my 4 dr. Have u dropped the one piece drive shaft in yet? Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
it was a fucking debacle to get the u joints out ....like 5 hours .....maybe this weekend i will put it in.......gonna powder coat it and get some new u joints .,.......still need to check if the slip yoke dust shield will fit over the 720 tail housing ...other wise i guess i will use my 4 sp wierdo slip yoke off my 4 sp.....its the bolt on yoke running a freeze plug in the end..... maybe i should pm wayno and see if he has a source photo of a 720 front driveshaft yoke to see if there even similar to the one off the 520 shaft.....its identical to my 620 one i have ......but not sure if the 720 one is the same Quote Link to comment

This is a 720 yoke. Quote Link to comment

jrock4224
i am gonna coat it as soon as i verify its gonna work with out ripping my driveline out of my truck to see if it fits Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
I thought so.good job. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Looks like my yoke might be a 1/2" shorter. If your yoke is off any 720 or 620 5 speed, it will likely work. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
will you measure from dust shield end to the tip of the input shaft ... i think its the angle of the pic that makes it closer to 5 cause measured its closer to 4.5" on mine Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
better angles shows maybe the same ... close enough to ttry.....this slip yoke is from a 67 520....but is gonna be used n my 720 tail shaft on a rc note ... went racing and literally caught my stock buggy on fire ..... battery lead on speedo side grounded on chassis and let all the magic smoke out and then caught ablaze... stayed and raced my mod buggy but this was a bummer....120 speedo burned up .... add it to the growing number of burned up speedos i need to send it for repair and or upgrade....sigh.. ..
