Nice Van Dammage

Went up to Index on Sunday. Hit the last trail on the right, very fun trail. The left fork was a climb to the top (well as far as we could get before the forest took over the road)

Here's the vids I got...enjoy :)

Team effort

3 wheel motion :D

Heading out

5.7 has 400 HP...I dunno man...

I'll take you for a ride when I get mine..;)

I have a friend with an Evo that makes 600hp to the wheels, it's all how much you want to spend. biggrin.gif

So ever since I welded up the front diff I've been having problems keeping my locking hub bolts tight. Went out wheeling on the 1st and ended up losing one of the hubs. So I upgraded to studs and and nylock nut's. I loctited the studs in the main hub and was able to torque down the nuts really well. I also picked up some deflators as a Christmas pressie to myself, thanks self. 😄

Some wheeling pic's, install pics and whatnot...

Last year.

My 'custom' radiator setup failed after about 4 years of abuse. It was modified a junkyard wagoneer radiator to fit into the CJ radiator area.

I decided it was time to go back to the stock configuration, mostly.

New rad came in and I picked up a new/used fan from 'pick n pull'...I liked it better as 'pull a part' 😛

pics!

Like it's meant to be.

Once I get the fan mounted it will be going into the CJ. 🙂

Some pics. If you didn't watch the video it did run. I actually drove it back to my house and am in the process of fixing the reasons it was parked.

I am thinking I will leave the paint be at this point. A bit of history in those layers.

Parts are coming in, new tires on the way. Can't wait to take it out for ice cream 🙂

I fondly remember my '75 CJ5, it was a beast.

Is your "roll bar" like what mine was? bolted to the rear tub only, if I'd ever rolled it simply would have punched through the sheet metal

It is bolted to the tub in six places and I added connectors to the frame at the front and rear mounts.
