Got a bunch of welding done today. Notched my shock hoops as well.

Here is a handy tool.

Shock hoop finished, just need to weld it up and gusset the back to the frame. Don't mind the extra sticking out, that will get cut off and capped.

Thanks Jrock, sometimes it seems like all I do is stare at shit

Pulled the shocks from my Jeep....they were blown. Ordered some rancho 9012's. Once I finish up the frame welding (except for the shock tabs) I'll be putting the front axle together the rest of the way and setting it on the ground. Need to pick up a 720 column and steering links. Then it will just be the timing chain and drive shaft lengthening before I can drive it.

soo, will it flex enough to put the front tire in the bed of my truck?

thats the question...

I don't think it will be a problem

Awesome!!!! Gotta make it out to your garage so you can teach me the way of the ninja!!

Just around the corner :)

GOLDEN SWEET!

Thanks, is that like a gold star? :D

Man do I know that feeling.  It has to be done, though.

Seeing it come together is the best part

More pics.

Shocks came in, will go something like the pics show. I need to make some plates for the upper mount.

Started thinking about rocker protection as well, going to tie that into the shock mount and body mounts. Should be strong.
