dimlight65
I can't remember the last time I posted in this thread, if ever, but I just finished (I think I'm finished) my current AK. Polish Radom NATO length stock Hogue grip Oversize charging handle BHO finger shelf safety lever Kalashnikov USA trigger group (made by CMC Triggers right here in Fort Worth, Texas!) Recoil buffer pad Ghost ring rear sight Tritium night sight front... sight Tabuk flash hider 60 round Schmeisser quad-stack magazine (and the two 30s that came with the gun) And a snarky T-shirt! Sadly, it was all lost in the tragic boating accident on the way home from the shop. Edited November 27, 2022 by dimlight65 4 1 Quote Link to comment

The roller set up takes a bit of getting used to after using mostly an AR. It is pretty accurate, a bit weighty, but not too bad. My brother used to have an FN/FAL and it was a beast of a rifle compared to the PTR/G3 CETME. And yes, it is loud, after all, it is a .308 Battle Rifle HK parts interchange easily and are surprisingly not too expensive, especially mags. You can actually add a collapsible stock to the PTR, assuming it is a full length unit, and it would still be in the 16" range required by CA One downside to it is the shell ejection. It is a fluted breech and it dimples the crap out of the shells, making them basically un reloadable. And it launches them into low earth orbit most of the time. I really like it and just looks flat out cool, and you can not deny the pleasure of doing the HK slap! Image it not of my rifle, but very similar k FN is insane, tried it once at the local gun range( local gun store has some of FN rifles https://gritrsports.com/shooting/firearms/rifles/ available for rent) Would you need adapter for collapsible stock? Hell, damaging shells is a big downside for me personally since I'm reloading most of my ammo those days... Quote Link to comment

No, it just swaps out like the regular stock, two pins and swap As for the ammo, that is why I am ok with shooting steel stuff through it, since it stripes the casings Edited November 29, 2022 by Jesse C. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Uhh.. I really did not need to know this was available. Also, as it is a single shot pistol it is even legal for our California friends. 1 Quote Link to comment

Soundline
Hmm… I’ve fired .50 BMG out of a M82A1. Pretty much cured me from wanting to experience it out of a pistol. This though… 🍆💦 4 Quote Link to comment

Draker
Oregon gun permit goes into place on the 7th. May be picking up something else before then. 1 Quote Link to comment

Remember kids! Before 114 goes into effect.... The law says if they cant process your background check in 3 business days... your FFL is 100% clear to just hand you your purchase 🤣 1 Quote Link to comment

Good luck, the queue for background checks and the number of firearms actually left in stores is ridiculous. 1 Quote Link to comment

Depends on how things go, but if I’m back in Houston this summer I’ll hit you up as I go through DFW. Maybe we can burn some powder if you know a place. 3 Quote Link to comment

Soundline
So true. Barrels are the most challenging parts to make at home. If you just want to make firearms at home though there’s a number of easier ways to make them out of pipe and wood. 1 Quote Link to comment
