My first car a slant six did that. I drove to 30 miles home. Real careful. Years later my '65 283 Pontiac winter car started knocking. Drove it another 1/4 mile and it got worse so turned around. Drove two miles home, pulled in the yard and it was screaching as the bearing started to spin on the crank. Parked it in the field. Pulled a 350 Chev company truck out of a gravel driveway and 'got on her' a bit much, BanG! Snapped the crank, walked away. :lol: Never broke a Datsun before though. Skib, you're my hero. :thumbup:

Damit that suck's the worst thang that's happen to me back in 88 with my frist 620 kc was drop a valve gide and was able to drive it home 10 miles it was back firing like a m80 every 15 seconds lol that was a lot of fun :D if you need a good running motor i have that l16 sitting on my stand :D
