Just Joel
I use a local pneumatic shop... The brand is Parker so you'll likely be able to find them on line too 1 Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
Busy weekend of tedious tasks... Finished adapting the universal fuel cell. Started by removing the universal filler door and making an aluminum plate to facilitate vent and return lines... Then adapted the factory filler... First time welding aluminum annnnd I suck :D fortunately, with tig it's relatively easy to bond two pieces and make it relatively presentable. No weld porn here but I'll continue to practice and eventually get there I'm sure :) And that concludes the fuel cell installation (minus final finish of course. Also reconfigured and adapted the original lines to the new layout. Originally I assumed this wasn't possible but it actually came out well... Next is axle plumbing then air. 5 Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
Finished diff side plumbing last night... Had to improvise and change just about everything from the previous, factory like routing. With the new found axle travel range combined with the tight component configuration, line placement was rather critical. In addition, I decided to continue my semi tucked, brake line system under the hood to the rear axle as well. :) 5 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Dumb question: Why invert the shocks? 2 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Two reasons, one clearance, two the stud end handles the changing angles on the lower arms better than the fixed eye bushing at the the other end. They're mono tube shocks and can be mounted in any orientation. 3 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
took a minute to arrive at that configuration. It always does. Still tweaking the rear shocks on my 1200... 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Been working on everything but my build thread these days, better update before I let this thing fall back into obscurity :D Stripped out all the new parts and prepped everything for powder coat... And a couple weeks latter the pile returns! Spent the better part of an afternoon cleaning threads and sanding mounting surfaces. This isn't as a result of the powder coaters, I always wait till after powder to chase and clean everything for final assembly ;) Usually, I'm a satin black kinda guy but my coater talked me into a graphite grey with a pearlescent clear over. I love it! Wish I didn't have to hide everything underneath :p 4 Quote Link to comment
