They say GE on them bought a couple of sets on eBay a while back. I have the boxes down stairs I'll put up a pic here soon.

Just asking because I was having a similar problem when I did this with Mercedes fogs. Having metal backs, they were grounding through the headlight mount when they shouldn't be...

Got the little bit of sleet off of it and opened it up to dry out.

Then took off the headlight relay to try to revive it. Pryed back the impressed area to take off the cover.

Took off the screw that holds the coil relay to the base connecting it to this copper plate that go's to one of the connector tabs (I believe it go's to a ground).

You can see the corrosion from electrolysis and humidity over the years where the steel and copper contact each other when assembled.

I cleaned the copper and steel surfaces and tried to clean the contacts soom trying not to break any connections. Then sprayed some contact cleaner and lubricant on it all.

Still have to lightly clean off the steel part a little more carefully not to damage any wires. Then get some of that dielectric grease to put where the steel contacts the copper and reassemble it and put it back in tomorrow an see if it works.

Well all put back together and clean as I can get it.

Took the cover and you can see the rust on the inside edge wear it contacts the base and cleaned it and painted it.

Put the cover on and put it back in the goon and WA LA!

I got great bright lights. Except for the front running light. I'll fix it later.

I don't know if you can save that sending unit, but I've brought some pretty dank tanks back to life with a few lbs of clean gravel and some acetone. Shake that around for a few minutes and you will be surprised what comes out.

It generally will keep falling out over time unless you have it cleaned and sealed. Unless you have some sort of automated shaking or rolling process for the tank. It will take a lot of shaking.

I hear you, a friend of mines former employer actually bought an old carnival ride for that exact purpose.
