wow been 4 months since an update!!! lots has gone on with this baby :)

its still not finished but is getting reasonably close i guess.

its had some major mods done (including repositioning the motor again , fabricating and installing some new steering arms and also getting the dash all back in and ready to go)

the car rolls now with brakes operational, handbrake works (!) and has a hood lining but no interior as of yet but that is coming soon.

ill get some pics up when my laptop is fully charged

Hey mate, just wondering which Nissan dealer you used to source the weather stripping? I bought the Taiwanese shit for mine aswell. I bought a bunch of rubbers and lights off of them too so thinking I might start buying NOS gear instead of half assed, poorly tooled asian repro shit.

Props on the build up, lookin sweet!

Sweet, thanks for that mate, I'll pop into a Nissan dealer when I get the chance... on the issue of parts. I just bought another complete 620 for parts and started stripping it last night. If there's any hard to find parts you're missing, let me know and I'll see if I have what you're after.

Tub is looking immaculate mate.

sorry about the big pics

also have scored a genuine greddy inlet mani for it - piece of advice if anyone is looking for ana ftermarket one spend the extra and find a greddy one their fit is spot on and 100 times better than the freddy mani i was going to use.

next stage is to get the fuel and motor side finally sorted.

Cheers and sorry for not updating sooner!!!

another small update no pics though

its amazing how unrestrictive the vehicle is to work on without a tub... its looks a smidge weird as i have never had a 620 with a tub on it before in this condition... its almost too good to be true!!!!

gotta move the brake proportioning valve out of the way of the tank a bit and also start looking into getting some fuel surge tank system sorted out.

starting to get into the planning stages now heading towards getting stuff finished with it.

hopefully over the christmas break the engine and gearbox will have the work done needed and it can go to be wired and dyno tuned.

thanks charlie appreciate the kind words

yes i took a factory tail light bucket to my local sheet metalshop and had them make a 1.2 mtr piece up to go into it and when i had the metal work done i had the panel beater just use a std recessed plate box and weld it all in.

still here and lurking around just getting odds and ends to finish off the alarm install and the wiring harness. by the time thats finished hopefully the motor should have all its bits done to it ready to go.

going to try to get the oil and water lines done this week sometime if not early next and that will be nearly it for the motor to be installed and the wiring done for it!!

it will depend on the tuner/ builder as to what goes on from here if the trimmer gets the car first or they do to get the motor running and installed.

not really an update as such...

have had these rims sitting around for a while and decided i will probably alternate between these, the 18" titans and the stock wheels with centre caps. they came from the importer where i got my engine from. they do need a bit of restoration work however i will get them cleaned up by our local wheel repairer when i get a spare chance.

hopefully will try to put some sticky rubber on these.

on another note i am unsure if it has made the news over there but Toowoomba, and most of Queensland has been hit with violent flooding causing a bucketload of damage and to date 16 deaths in the lockyer valley region.

Incredibly where i live is on the outskirts of toowoomba so i got off relitavely easy with no damage to the datsun or any of our property here however many many people have been left with nothing its really damn sad :(

Wow! Those Roos must be so frightened to be willing to sit in a tinny with a fella taking them to higher ground!! It's just been terrible up there, feeling bloody hopeless down here in Sydney while all this tragedy is going on up north! Mind you VIC is flooded and northern NSW as well!!!! Can only offer donations as volunteering isn't an option for me... glad to hear you are ok, I hope that your family and friends are all good as well!
