Turn the shifter around or put in vice and bend it. It only works as a coolant recovery if you have a special coolant recovery radiator cap. datzenmike Posted March 21 Report Share Posted March 21 Agree. My preferred three things for shifter are: 1/ I like shifter as close to the steering wheel as possible. Right hand drops off steering wheel, right onto shifter. 2/ You can shift every gear with your shoulders back against the seat, leaning forward and/or down to reach the shifter is a no no. 3/ I raise the fulcrum point on my 71B transmission to shorten the forward and back shift distance. 1 Quote Link to comment
