This was a special mill run of steel, we have 22 of these things to make. They have over 450 holes in them. M30,M24,M10,M8 and 1.5-6 tapped holes. The video shows a 1.75 diam drill running 1000rpm feeding at 4 inches per minute. Running a G81 (straight feed no peck) Quote Link to comment

Night shift noticed the spindle load spiking, stopped the machine brought the Y axis up and the drill stayed in the part. It took three hours of fucking around to get it out. here is the carnage. Dont know if the hole is any good.... I have some more fucking around to do to fix the part...... Quote Link to comment
