Beowulf
Finally the weather cleared to bring home the 79 King cab. Lots of work ahead, but comes with lots of parts. 4, L20b motors, extra doors, fenders, boxes of misc parts for interior, engine, electronics. Still have to go back and get stuff didn’t have room for it all. May start a used parts store😂. First thing to come off when I got it home was the aluminum bed rails!. But kept the window louvres lol. Wish me luck, lots to do. 2 Quote Link to comment

Beowulf
Hope to remove bed this weekend. Any recommendations on how others have fixed the rust at the body seams, I would think panels aren’t available any more. Quote Link to comment
Beowulf
Got bed ready to come off, found the 2 hidden bolts that were messing with me 😂. Ordered a water&sand blasting tool to hook to my pressure washer. Hope it works, nobody local does media blasting. This isn’t the plastic one that comes up on Facebook. Quote Link to comment
4perrev
Option 1) Cut from old parts truck, form, weld and paint. Option 2) Cut from new metal, form, weld and paint. Either way, have fun with it!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Beowulf
16 Gauge metal ok to use. Couldn’t get a good read on the metal on the truck Quote Link to comment
