When I'm done with this 520 resto I'll pull off my original 320 wheel and have a go with PC-7. 1 Quote Link to comment
320 Newb
Test printed heater stickers on printer paper and hand cut. I think I'm getting close--hoping to get them printed by the time Jake has 3D heater boots available. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Put your file for the stickers to print shop that prints stickers and has the printer that cuts the stickers out. Also are you going to change the colors to black and gold? Quote Link to comment

Also are you going to change the colors to black and gold? Yep will do! I'm hoping a printer can cut them with rounded corners. And yes on black and gold--I did the mock up in black and white just so I could see better--my eyes ain't what they used to be. 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment

You could round four corners on 100-200 parts in short order. 1 Quote Link to comment

I like the way it applies and sands down and I'm hoping it bonds better to the steering wheel plastic. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I just did a digital clock delete on a plastic Land Cruiser gauge panel using a two part plastic epoxy from SEM. I am absolutely going to use that product again. Easy to use and sands down nicely without any pinholes. 1 Quote Link to comment

320 Newb
I'm working with Issaranawat TreeAusawa from Thailand to have these door panels made using factory specs. He's an incredibly responsive communicator and his attention to detail is A+. All the measurements here are factory including the snap placement on the pocket. I had him modify the pocket a little so it's much less floppy than the factory pocket. The grey fabric vinyl matches my seat and headliner. Price including shipping is right at quotes I was getting from local guys. Highly recommend. 2 Quote Link to comment
320 Newb
Jake Makes is at it again! He's working on 3D printed heater boots and and while test fitting we realized the early style 320 heaters take a different boot. It's a shorter elbow and doglegs to the right. Two questions: 1. Does anyone have a sample of the early style heater boot? 2. Is anyone interested in purchasing one if Jake works his magic? 1 Quote Link to comment

320 Newb
Heater stickers came back from the printer and turned out 😚👌. Spent a good amount of hours recreating these from pictures of partials and back and forth with the print shop figuring out how to get gold text on a black background. $7 shipped within the US for one set, $5 for additionals. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

320 Newb
Paint store got a good scan on the inside cover, had it matched, added the stickers I've been working on. Waiting on a boot from the living legend Jake Makes. 3 Quote Link to comment

You're gonna have one heck of a time regulating the heat come winter; No valve or knob. I know, test fit-up. Looks great like all your other work. Merry Christmas, all !! 1 Quote Link to comment

That's been my favorite part of the project! That heater's been in/out 50 times trying to get that boot right and it's now official! I need to finish the cab floor before it goes in for good. I also replaced the O rings in the valve so I want to pressure test it again before I run water in the cab. A small leak would be a nightmare. 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I use a little of this Plumbers grease on the O-rings and brass shaft to help keep it moving smoothly. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oatey-1-oz-Plumber-s-Grease-30620/203489444 Edited December 24, 2020 by Charlie69 3 Quote Link to comment

320 Newb
Would anyone be interested in machined aluminum reproduction heater valve knobs? Gauging interest for a project with another 320 truck brother. I've been told this knob is also used on 200 series pickups but in blue. Can anyone confirm? Also does it look like it might fit any other 60s Datsun models? Hoping to find homes for a run of 20. 2 Quote Link to comment
