It doesn't matter.  None of this affects the Dude, and he doesn't listen anyway.  Maybe it will help someone else like Flatcat who posed the question/false statement.  The Dude is totally lost and can't concentrate long enough to finish even the smallest of projects, like getting his plug wires in the right order.  Eventually he'll get tired of thinking that he's actually trying, and he'll go away - mentally exhausted and having done virtually nothing to his truck.  Like a dog chasing his tail.  I like watching spinning dogs.  Its entertaining.

I offered to help get this truck running, never heard back from him, I guess I was too old, he asked me how old I was and when I told him it was the last I heard from him. I said this would be for sale a couple weeks ago. Maybe he will go buy a honda

He told me about rock offering to help. And I offered as well. Had a day lined up a week in advance, sent him a message the day before and nothing. Fuck it, whatever, somebody buy this thing and get it back on the road
