Aaron Datsun
My son said he didn't like not having a gas pedal. I 3d modeled one and printed it... I will test it for a bit then do revisions on it. Then post online. Edited February 23 by Aaron Datsun 9 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Finally got around to it, made out of 95A TPU. I've got a third slightly more refined and rounded design printing currently but both of these were perfectly usable. Initial design which I didn't like, sorry for the potato quality. Next redesign, also thickened the top pad and refined the back part that holds it on, it is very well attached. Edited March 7 by Dguy210 3 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Revised version and iterations. 510 pedal is unfortunately larger (upper right 2nd pic, although the pads are cheap and available). Original vs mine for the 1200 Edited March 8 by Dguy210 2 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Also cupholder for the B210. I have another design too but I didn't like it as much. Will be using this also for the 1200 but more likely putting it in front of the shifter. The other design which works better for bigger cups but not as well with a passenger. Red and Blue inserts are different sizes to fit different containers, Edited March 8 by Dguy210 4 Quote Link to comment

The dumb things we do. cool designs by the way! I’ve been thinking of something similar. But maybe mounting to the seat mount. I know someone else was selling that style in metal. 2 Quote Link to comment

I've seen that one to print before, believe it was even in a Z of some type. Couldn't find it though. 2 Quote Link to comment
Skib
Designed and made some fun aerofoils for this R35 time attack car. Bunch of tests and revisions. Surprisingly strong even before the carbon... Sanded the finals and wrapped in carbon for some extra stiffness and mostly to match the rest of the car lol Mounts with panel bonded/thread studs to the bumper and some aluminum uprights. 6 Quote Link to comment

Icehouse
I drew this up and we printed it at work on the resin printer. OG in black, first try in orange and latest in clear, which looks so cool!!!! It's a heater lever handle for a roadster. 7 Quote Link to comment

Dguy210
Well... really wanted to print in ASA and other materials. I've printed in ABS previously with a lot of difficulty (but with success) on my very very old first machine. So I ended up ordering this... 2 Quote Link to comment
EDM620
Years ago I'd heard tale of someone 3D printing plastic tubes that had "wires" laid down in the printing (a printer that could print 2 media types at the same time) such that the wires were effectively embedded and not exposed at all. Not known if fact or fiction, but seems to be a heck of an idea that leads to many custom possibilities. 1 Quote Link to comment

With the U in TPU being urethane I suspect it has some grippy properties. 1 Quote Link to comment

About the same as the old pad actually so not very grippy but not slick either, drove just fine on it with clutch and brake covers. Didn't even notice it which is what I was going for. The new pad I have for the 510 is a bit softer and more grippy. But this is just dependent on the filament used too. I'm using high speed 95a TPU which is a decently stiff one. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Testing out a holographic patterned build plate. Kind of neat but not super useful, does have pretty good general adhesion though. Effect is a bit stronger on darker materials. Backside of something still in the works. On a lighter colored background and with colorswaps. Edited April 15 by Dguy210 4 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Datsun 510 firewall grommets, need to test them but should work based on the sizes I measured. Customized to fit the wiring bundle I've got going through mine currently. Made an extra because why not. Pallet coaster was just for fun but was such a neat print I ended up making a bunch of them to take to work. If anyone wants the file on the grommet let me know, I do still need to test if they fit though. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Test pieces some worked, some not so great. Been thinking about dialing in a few different prints and bringing a bunch with me to sell at Powerland or such. Edited Thursday at 06:20 AM by Dguy210 2 Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
More test pieces dialing in the colors, grille badges. These are 3 inches across (75mm really) and designed to be mounted to a grille. Now sure how long they would last outside though. Mounting tabs are screw or tie wrap based.
