Jesse C.
Let us play "Spot the Odd Part" It was a P-51 used by the Navy for possible carrier use, thus it is equipped with an arresting hook The Navy decided against it. An admiral quipped that he would use water cooled planes on carriers when he would start using air cooled engines in submarines! 2 Quote Link to comment
KiloTango1200
No Sir! I Did not say the pallet would not fit in the Chinook! I said I need to start my run 20 ft. further back! Quote Link to comment
KiloTango1200
Line Techs tend to name aircraft that they see on a regular basis, that do not conform to the accepted alpha phonetic alphabet. This example is "Number One 'Mike Foxtrot'" or "Number One Melon Farmer" as translated from the Die Hard movie series. Then "Number 2 Whatha "Foxtrot" taxied up. A group photo I couldn't pass up. 2 Quote Link to comment
Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
Went to see a coworker of my dad's personal collection today. All restorations and operational (he flies them about once a week). Absolutely incredible pieces of machinery. 7 Quote Link to comment
DanielC
A friend I taught to water ski, told me and other people in my boat, one of the last times we went out in the boat, "you are all welcome to come with me to an University of Oregon football game." I asked it I could do that, for the Friday 11/27/2015 "civil war" game with Oregon State. He said "sure", and I met his some of his family at the airport in Aurora, Oregon. This is the plane we flew to Eugene in. A quick search identified it as this. DASSAULT-BREGUET FALCON 50 This is me, on the left, with my friends Dad, the co-pilot. This is where we ended up, after a bus ride from Eugene Airport, to Autzen Stadium. This is the view from the suite he had. Another view. 6 Quote Link to comment

Probably better you were in the suites, cause it was a pretty chilly day. Friend with a private plane... so cool. Quote Link to comment

Draker
Doesn't seem like that would be a popular war boat/plane. It looks interesting though. Quote Link to comment
