Remember the media are also liberals, but often doing the provoking. The media is business. It will largely report based on viewership / interest. Right now, the majority are liberal. The rest of us are, well, you have heard the list. And the Media just lets it happen and then dance around the fires when they light them. I know they shun religion and anything basically organized and disciplined. But, they better learn to pray that the other side does not rise to their level, because it has the ability to get very ugly. They need to read, because it seems that all they are learning in college is how to cry when they don't get it their way. DaBlist Posted February 2, 2017 Report Share Posted February 2, 2017 the protestors don't pay for the damages though. the taxpayer pays - double BTW. first, the school gets our tax dollars to build and maintain and then, after the damage, the insurance rates on the place go up so we also eat the monthly increase in premiums. I have understood the intention for the ACA but the method of introducing I found (as an outsider) was not right. Here in Oz,we have a medicare system that is basically same as the UK NHS and taxpayers have a levy which is included in their income taxes to cover (most of) the cost of the Public Health System,states and territories then also have their own mechanisms in taxation for funding also as they are the ones who actually run their local hospitals etc. So the medicare system here is Administered by the Federal Govt for things like billing for seeing your General Practitioner and then things like specialists are covered with a gap fee for most people and then those who are on low incomes like pensioners and unemployed may get additional support if needed. It's not perfect as no system ever is but it doesn't actually demand in a punitive fashion in the same way as ACA,some Aussies maybe would disagree with me that the system we have is good but I don't see it as being as insidious as the ways the ACA is handled. 1 Link to comment
