I worked at a Chevy dealer for two years (10-12) as a mechanic. The engines were Isuzu and I installed Isuzu brand parts on them, so...

What I read was that Isuzu helped design the heads and fuel system, so they could be suplying parts, but I bet the block says GM on it. I'm not a fan of Chevy any more, the only thing they build that I would concider buying any more would be the vette. As for Cummins, they are starting to buld V6 and V8 diesels now too. I think it's fitment reasons, they need shorter engines to fit all that crap in the new trucks. Out of the old big 3 Ford is the only one showing any signs of trying to put qny quality in their product. That is why my new daily driver is a 2015 VW Golf diesel, 45 mpg city when I control my self, but all that torque is so tempting!

And just for the hell of it, here is my 2007 Explorer Sport Trac I had when I USED to make damn good money as a technician at the Ford stealershit before they laid off half the damn staff...

DAMMIT!   I miss that truck. I poured a lot of time and money into it. Lost my ass selling it too, but I was four months behind on payments so it had to go! :crying:

Uh, not to dis GM, but Ford didn't need, nor did that take any bailout money. That was GM and Chrysler who would have gone belly up.

You guys better read this so that you know the facts about Ford, there is no way they could have just turned their company around from that debt load, http://www.chevyhardcore.com/news/editorial-did-ford-take-bailout-money-too-yes-they-did/

That article is from a Chevy fanboy website and frankly it sounds ridiculous. They can't even decide if it was $5.9 billion or $15.9 billion... I call BS. Besides, NO ONE has ever heard of it until now. Ford got themselves out of debt by selling off other companies it had purchased over the years. Sterling Trucks, Mack trucks, Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, and Hertz Rent a Car.

The Chevy Vs. Ford rivalry is almost 100 years old and will live another 100 years after both companies die, but there's no credit given for distorting the facts.

Did ford take bailout money? No. Did Ford sales benefit from the other two taking bailouts? Hell Yes, but did they engineer the events that lead up to it? No. Has Ford trucks outsold Chevy for thirty plus years running before the collapse? Yes.

Does anyone really think that if Ford did take bailout money that the Government and Ford have the accounting ability to cover up a 5, or 15 BILLION $ cash transfer? The Gov can't even cover up the budgets of Area 51"s Skunk Works, or the NSA, but somehow a runt writer at Chevyhardcore.com has the investigative chops to unearth something like this? Sounds more like the rantings of an ass hurt looser to me.

The truth is, Ford's financial planners got fucking lucky, and that has NOTHING to do with the quality of the product they make Vs. the quality of Chevy. Does Ford not taking bailout money play well in the public's eyes when they just watched their home equity, and pension accounts go up in smoke? You bet it does, but Chevy was on the same financial playing field Ford was.

I'm a Ford guy because I grew up around Fords, and had I grown up around Chevys You bet I'd be a Chevy guy. Are your little articles and videos going to make me switch now?

Hell no, Ford is and always will be better than Chevy... Game On!!!

I'm neither a Ford guy, or a Chevy guy, I own both. I don't like bad designs, which all 3 have plenty of right now. Ford seems to beahead right now, even my oldest friend who is a died in the wool Chevy guy, says he thinks Chevy's stuff that is out right now sucks compaired to the new Fords he has driven. As a former Chevy lover, I am very sad! :(

If that's too swanky for ya, but a standard Scout II still wouldn't cut it, there's the Sahara...

Is that's not fancy enough I present the scout aristocrat:

Comes with such luxurious amenities as a center console for the gear shift and a padded dash!

And this is what my aristocrat has become...

Wish it still had the bitchin chrome luggage rack when I got it...
