I had a package from Reno go to Sacramento, as normal, that should go back up the freeway 45min to me, somehow end up in fucking Nebraska. Goddamn FedEx refused to intercept it and turn it around...assholes.

Package made it on time to the Federal Way facility, and then got shipped cross country to MARYLAND.  Because it was re-routed to Washington, DC.  Not the first time.  But the best one was a book I had shipped from the UK.  When it didn't arrive 2 months later, I contacted the seller who apologized and sent a replacement, which I got 2 weeks later.  Then, a month after that, the original arrived- having been sent to the non-existent Tacoma, Western Australia (WA).  I still have the package with the hand-written "USA"  from the Aussie Post when they finally routed it to me.  So it went around the world the long way.

 

The Post Office could save a lot of money not flying packages cross-country twice after they are already in the correct State.  If only I could have collected the frequent flyer miles for that pair of headlights...
