thanks, that is my high school shop, the teacher is a professional mechanic that has run his own business for years, so its a great opportunity. I'm still thinking about what engine to put is this thing, i am leaning towards a 4.3 chevy vortex with a hei dizzy, an eddelbrock intake and a Holly 600 cfm carb, i might even be able to find some headers :devil:

ok found a TBI with wiring for cheap. i just reread my thread and i really need to be more decisive. i need to get some more money before i can't do much more without more money but this week i will be stripping the frame and getting u bolt measurements for my soa.  :blush:  <_<

The 700 R-4 and 208 T case combo is a very good unit . A bit large , but in your case a good choice. 

 It will be much easier to find  as it is more current than the turbo 400.   The overdrive is a big advantage as well.

Good to see you  decided on a direction for the build.
