ratsun73
oh and i forgot to ask can i use a toyota t case because those are easy to find around here, and i could find that a lot easier than a dana 20 or 18. also i still need to figure out the engine, so if anyone has a lead that would be much appreciated. ]2eDeYe
You will need a custom adapter to run the yota tcase Quote Link to comment
ratsun73
so i went to pick and pull in vancouver and found doors(75 ea), an l 18(280), and a 720 transfer case(180). will the 720 t-case fit? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
The 720 case will fit, but the outputs are both offset. Did you grab the intermediate drive shaft? Quote Link to comment
SandyMush620
The 720 case will fit, but the outputs are both offset. Did you grab the intermediate drive shaft? The outputs on my 720 t-case are both center drop. Did you mean offset from his axles maybe? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I meant they are both offset from the input. The dana20 only offsets the front drive flange. You could rotate the 720 t-case and have right or left side output instead of centered, although I don't know enough about the oiling inside the case to know if it would be a good idea or not  Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Sorry I haven't got pics of the tcase yet, got kinda busy. I will try to get some this weekend. I agree with boxcar, it looks like you will hit the cab on compression. Quote Link to comment

Boxcar
Measure you're eye to eye spring length. I may have an easy fix for ya..... Quote Link to comment
ratsun73
the spring eye to eye is 44 in Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
I will measure a spare set of rear Yotas that I have. 44 seems a bit short . The Yota rears have a heavy offset. This will allow you're axle to be positioned forward enough for proper Clarence. <a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/user/Boxcar2/media/304121653_zpsde83f482.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h423/Boxcar2/304121653_zpsde83f482.jpg~original" border="0" alt="Datsun 4x4 conversion photo 304121653_zpsde83f482.jpg"/></a> Quote Link to comment
