Kirden
Just toss the engine in and it's good to go. However such small wheels may not be so comfortable above 5mph :P 1 Quote Link to comment

spudly13
Small update for today. Im calling the engine bay done, at least until its sprayed again and i can see how it looks. Wasnt going for perfectly smooth and shaved, just filling some spots here and there where i welded up holes. Also seam sealed all the major body seams inside and out. Im waiting on my dad to get home so hopefully we can finish glassing in the panel. 3 Quote Link to comment

spudly13
Havent updated in awhile. First update, paint booth. We went up to Canada spent a whole weekend tearing the thing apart and loading it up, what a bitch it ended up taking two trips since the heater alone took up 3/4s of the trailer. That was almost 4 weeks ago now, Since then ive been spending every weekend over at his shop rebuilding it all nice and purdy. Its coming along pretty good, although i dont have any pics of it yet, he should be ready to spray in a few weeks. (hopefully) Quote Link to comment
spudly13
Second update: the car. Just this last week i finally got it undercoated. Laid down some black epoxy, and then used a defender pro bedliner kit. looks really good. The taillight panel is done, Other then that, not much to update, im going to start working on rebuilding the suspension and brakes. while im waiting for the paint booth to get finished. 3 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Only thing I dont like about Bedliner, is how it really likes to retain heat. I have heard of bedliner in engine bays getting too hot to touch for about nearly as long as the block is. Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
the 510 is coming along nicely 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
how thick is that bed liner? Quote Link to comment
spudly13
how thick is that bed liner? not very thick at all, not really sure how to gauge how thick it is.... but the reason I laid down the black epoxy first was so coverage didn't have to be as thick Quote Link to comment
q-tip
I was just wonder for the sake of added weight Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
the bedliner can also absorb some sound vibrations from what I have been told Quote Link to comment
spudly13
I used one full kit, I'd say MAX weight MEYBE ten pounds, and that's just guessing off what the box weighed with everything in it, Quote Link to comment
q-tip
that's not bad at all Quote Link to comment
red76datsun
lookin real good. bedliner helped with sound in mine a lot. Quote Link to comment

spudly13
First attempt: Air chisel, hammer, punches, and a lot of heat. No good Second attempt: Die grinder and some heat. Worked like a champ. Some POR 15 New camber plates, bump steer spacers, bushings, and balljoints. Waiting for my extended wheel studs and rotors to get back from surfacing to finish it up. Probally gunna start on the rear tomorrow, have a lot more work to do back there, have to fab the rear discs, change up the spring pockets to work better with my bags, and of course all new bushings and u joints and bearings. 1 Quote Link to comment
spudly13
Got started on the rear. My wheel studs and rear control arm bushings showed up. Just waiting on my rear bearings, seals, and axle nuts. Started on the rear disc stuff 8 Quote Link to comment
