Bob3
good weight ratio/distribution ? Mazda Miata's are 52% front / 48% rear. I got the MX520 to 50/50 with all four corners within 20lbs. I'm shooting for 50/50 on Misinformation. Quote Link to comment

DaBlist
How much wider is the Miata's WMS to WMS to the 411's? Quote Link to comment
Bob3
How much wider is the Miata's WMS to WMS to the 411's? What is a WMS? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
What is a WMS?Wheel mount surface. Quote Link to comment
Bob3
Wheel mount surface. Oh - I have no idea. I don't care about that dimension. The only one I was worried about is track. The new set up sticks out about 2.5" per side, that's why I'm going to run flares. I was able to make this set up work on the MX520 without flares because the 520 is 4" wider than the 411. I have never measured "wms" on any car. Quote Link to comment
DaBlist
No worrries. Some use WMS to WMS for comparing chassis & axle dimensions. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
You can use another dimension, but I find it the easiest for finding offsets for wheels when changing the suspension. Like on my wagon, the rear axle has a WMS to WMS of 53.75 inches (or something like that). I want to put in a Volvo 240 axle which has a WMS to WMS distance of 55.5 inches. Thats a 1.75 inch difference or .875 inch per side, and that translates to 22.2 mm further out the wheel attaches to. So I know a 15x7 +0 fits stock, so a 15x7 +20 should be fairly close, or +25 to play it safe. Its just one way to think of things. And the easiest when at the JY with a tape measure ;) 1 Quote Link to comment
Kirden
All this WMS talk reminds me that I'm at work... WMS - Warehouse Management System Job title - WMS Analyst :P Quote Link to comment
wayno
I was thinking you could find some wheels with the offset you needed to tuck them back into the wheel wells, I am positive they are out there, but that would not mean you would like the look. Running the flairs will widen the track, make it corner better I believe. Quote Link to comment
Phixius
411 track width 47.5 and miata at 55.5? using a high offset wheel and flares will help out. Im sure Bob can handle it... It seems like he knows what hes doing... MAZDATTO! for dah win. 1 Quote Link to comment
