Decided to go with Krecs cause I want to use stock hubs. Now I have a spare mklotz kit :) Playing with a few other things, test fitting and what not...some homemade, others no... Couldn't stand any of the gauge options out there so came up with my own thing to make it look up to what i wanted.... 8 Quote Link to comment

Not so much air cooled anymore, more 1st gen water cooled but I know where my roots are. So I lean back on that for a lot of options. For the gauge setup, I leaned back to my VW life for the gauges because as stated, I hated all the mainstream options; bolted to bottom of dash blocking things, some center console that didn't match, pillar mount not even an option, etc. etc. etc. So in the best interest of the community, I present the following: http://www.airkewld.com/Billet-Column-Gauge-Mount-Machine-Finish-p/7025.htm You will have to grind or mill (I milled) the mounting holes slightly wider. It is step machined so there is room without compromising strength or looks. I also had to grind down the flange where the column slides in. Other than that, plug and play.
