So these B-210/310 boxes, does anyone know how much quicker the ratio is than a PL510?

Nicholas7620 did I see you on 116 between Petaluma and Sonoma a couple weeks ago?  You were going towards Ptown me the other way...

So the autocross results came in and I got 4th in class!  By far my best showing to date.  I have no delusions of grandeur about my driving skill.  Entering this hobby last season I was quickly humbled by the skill of the more experienced drivers.  I must say it has been incredibly fun learning and trying to improve.  I got a ride in a bad ass 240Z at this last event.  The owner bought the car brand new!  It was wearing 16x10 slicks, had power steering, and a Rebello 3+ liter L series among plenty of other mods.  It was great to just sit down shut up watch and try to learn.  He never took his hands off the wheel.

My FutoFab gear knob came in!  I'm stoked it is just right!  Thanks Dave!

I wonder what wheels those are on that z

I can ask him at the next event.

Is your shift pattern like my avatar icon?

Can I pre-book a ride along... Say... June 2024?

No it is the standard pattern but FutoFab does offer this knob in the dogleg pattern as well.

And I don't take reservations,  all ride alongs are strictly spur of the moment ;)

Another option for quicker steering is 280zx steering arms.  They are shorter than 510 arms.  I have heard of people using them with success, but have also heard there are problems with them causing binding in the ball joints.  Another option you may look into.

I've actually heard they can snap the 510 ball joints in half.

Of course everyone who said that had no answer when I asked "did you try just using 280ZX ball joints?".

280zx ball joints have a much different bolt pattern where they mount to the LCA.  I know Keith over on the 510 realm has used them on his car for the last 20 years or so and hasn't experienced any problems, and he doesn't baby his car either!

I've started a project that has been on the list forever.  A center console.  The basic design is something that I came up with after many many many scrapped drawings.  I feel like it was a lot more difficult than it should have been, lol.

I think it's turning out ok, I still need to figure out some brackets that I like to secure it and then take it all back apart for covering. :D

One more, the reason I've been working on this (besides being able to see my gauges):

Front speakers!  I had to get these operational for the 5+ hour fun run tomorrow!  I've only ever had the 6x9's in the back and the 8" powered sub.
