oldskoolvws
That's like Herb Martinez. He lives in my town. Herb is supposedly like "the man" in the striping world. He does world tours and shit. Google em. I need gauge ideas. I do not like the look of most all the gauge pod or holders out there. It needs to blend with my dash. Quote Link to comment
skyblue
Who's your pin striper? I use Bogie exclusively. One of my toys she did: [img=http://imageshack.us/a/img713/4315/bike1r.jpg]http://www.bogies.biz/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcfJpm9lwGY'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcfJpm9lwGY">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcfJpm9lwGY'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcfJpm9lwGY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> Hot! mrbigtanker
That is so F'n cool. Where did you get the gauge faces? They were made by me and my pin striping buddy,he will never do it again, its to tedious to get the numbers right, while i watched him and he has been doing this for over 50 years. 1 Quote Link to comment

skyblue
Hmmm. I dunno. White gauges are kinda ricey for my taste. I'd have to see them in person to make a definite decision. The interior panels look great tho. Quote Link to comment

oldskoolvws
there are a lot of factory white guages, not only on ricers. my colorado has them now (ZQ8). so not really a ricer thing. its usually a style thing. but ricers have dominated the market with their overlays and spray paint. the LEDs look good. I switched mine a while ago to green. one of the best mods ever. i can actually see now. out of curiosity, how come he didn't use stencils for the numbers? Quote Link to comment
datrod
I don't think any good pin striper would use a stencil. When I had a guy that I thought was a good pin striper do my wagon I went to get something to drink. When I came back he had a stencil and used that to do his lines. It didn't come out that great. Kinda sucks. I was bummed but it was a freebie so I can't bitch too much. 1 Quote Link to comment

He just did it by hand, and it was free, but the kicker is now i think the needle is rubbing the tin that got painted so now i have to pull it apart and see if i can straighten it,if not i guess it will be all auto meter or something.
