I was hoping someone could tell me the approximate year and model of this truck. It used to belong to my grandfather who had passed and was hoping to obtain some info. I really like the truck and hoping to get it within a few months when i can drive out to california to pick it up

I know that Wikipedia isn't a say-all end-all source, but it's still something.  You have a 520.

Like mentioned, its a 520. You dont have to take our word for it, just look at the metal plate under the center hood prop. It will give you the model name.

I wish had the truck in person. Unfortunately I won't have it for a while. I was just trying to obtain information on it. I take your word for it. I just thought I would share what I was told. I appreciate the expertise / info. I believe it's a 520 based off what I have learned and read so far

KA24E, it's all in the gearing. 4:88's front and rear.
