Laecaon
That is 100% a 510 wagon. Bumper is correct. The rear door doesn't bend upwards to meet the rear cargo window. And the 1/4 window on the rear door just screams 510, and not 610. Quote Link to comment
a.d._510_n_ok
It's a screen capture from "License to Drive", c1988 http://www.imcdb.org/movie_95519-License-to-Drive.html I had to Google Image it. They key I noticed was both the Datsun and Toyota were parked in a "No Parking" zone, and the Jag was double parked. Seemed like a setup. The character's car (it's the setup for the parallel parking scene) is the Escort, the DMV test car. huh.....never heard of the movie but the IMCDB link makes it look like decent car porn. may have to see if amazon has it for cheap on DVD. The Taterhead
This is irrelevant for most of you but Dattos are very scarce down here. Sorry for the shitty oic but it's hard to snap one while you're passing a parked car. Quote Link to comment

I sat in on most of my daughter's Taekwondo classes, so that means I am a second degree balck belt like her? Cool! Not to mention all the old school Chinese Kung fu flicks I watched and "Kung Fu" (David Carradine) shows I watched. So I am Shaolin KungFu master! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
No Datsun sightings in Kung Fu starring Carradine :-( There was a studebaker wagon though. Quote Link to comment

I spent a few weeks working down in Key West. I was on a ship moored at the Truman Annex. Very cool spot and we even had our own private beach... Spent a few nights at the Parrot. 1 Quote Link to comment

a.d._510_n_ok
saw this '71 1600 at my buddy's today. the last owner had owned it since the 1970s. the spare bed + the parts in the spare bed came with it. the fenders and hood from the blue truck are in the bed of the green truck as are a host of other spare parts for the truck. are 1200 and 1600 load ratings like 1/2 and 3/4 for domestic trucks? he also re-traded for these goofy things for like the third or fourth time lol! For domestic trucks "1/2 ton" is a series designator, not the actual load capacity. The USA 521 had a 1000 lb load capacity. The 620 was available in three different capacities. 1600 and 1200 badges are the size of the engine. 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
My friends truck got fitted with 1 ton springs. The guy he bought it from was intending to put an RV on it, and then tow a boat. He then learned the engine may not have the cahonies to pull a boat out of water with an RV on its back. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
So I hope your buddy makes a camper version of this car like its set up in the pic. Quote Link to comment
