Well it's not super clean or finished or anything due to the time constraints, but I got it ground down and painted it yesterday. Driving past the slide was...well it's hard to put into words and the pictures don't really do justice. We only had one full day of sun and 65 degrees, but everyone had a great time despite the off and on rain. On to the pics. In line for the detour around the slide area. You can see a small section of the highway has been cleared here. They are still looking for the last 2 missing so it will be slow going. I have a few more pics of the slide area and Angie got some as well. if you guys are interested I will post them up later, maybe in a different thread. First night at camp. Turns out they are decommissioning the road we came to explore. Ripping out the culverts and letting the creeks have the area back. Seems like a waste of money to me as they will eat the road anyways if left alone, but what do I know. :( Campin! This is a road that was decommissioned a while ago, doing the same thing to the road up the hill. Except they seem to be pulling the culverts out. Like so Campin, fuck yeah. The last nights fire in camp (there was a pretty decent bonfire as well I got no pics, maybe Nuff has some?) Got to load test the bumper with a light pull. Nuff got high centered on his crossmember. :lol: And a stop to check the loads on the way home. Hope everyone had as good a Memorial as we did and took some time to remember what the holiday was really about.Thanks Grandpa Maguire and Uncle Bobby, you are still missed even though we never met. 7 Quote Link to comment
