]2eDeYe
Thanks guys, here is the cradle by itself. Going to reseal the back of the motor as I noticed the orange rtv  didn't hold up during the over pressuring that happened last year. Then I'll get to grinding on the frame rails. Won't be much more fab progress til the weekend I think. 2 Quote Link to comment

Thanks guys :) Got a little dirty today, musta swept up 4 times during the noisy part. More recycling Temporary cross member. and more recycling Clean slates, need to go pick up some more 3/16 strap to plate the frame. Using the stock crossmember to hold the trans in position. Sooo close Thinking about some hammer work in this general area, gonna sleep on it. 1 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Hammer or cut and flip, progress is lookin good Steve! I'd prefer to cut but there is undercoating and dynamat to deal with, leaning towards hammer...still debating. dude you get a lot more done in a weekend than i do a month. loving watching this repair action going on I only get a bit of time here and there for fab work, gotta make it count. Looks like it will be well sorted when done. We will have to get together for some snow wheelin this year. I hope so. My second snow invite, awesome. Definitely down for snow. Looking into more gearing as well. I think I may order up this gearset for my t-case after my next round of KA mounts sell. :) Jeep Dana 20 3.15:1 Low Gear Set http://www.northwestfab.com/Jeep-Dana-20_c_732.html 1 Quote Link to comment

Hope it helps. Don't know how stuck your body mount bolts are. If not stuck , I'd add 3/8" UHMW shims to the body mounts before pounding the floor. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Was looking at that set, but it is for the Bronco J-shift case and they say it won't work in the Jeep box. Not much more for the set I need. Thanks for the heads up though. As far as a spacer, I already have a 2" body lift and the stock rubber body mounts in there. That's already higher than I would prefer, but the belly is pretty flush all the way out to the rockers so I can live with it. I got a couple days before I need to decide on the floor, gonna stare at it some more while I plate the frame rails. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
You are correct Steve, the bronco d-20 is just enough different from the other d-20's that it won't work. I do however have a couple of Spicer 18's if you want to make you d-20 a twin stick 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I built that t-case before, it's in my CJ still. :D Think I want the lower gears, I will be pulling the pills to twin stick it while I'm in there. Quote Link to comment

Jester
Looking good. Just massage the floor and be done. Keep her belly flat. Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
Didn't see the Ford logo on the kit. Sorry for the confusion. The Ford 20 is a driver drop case. Not the same animal. Didn't have the clearance issues with mine , so can't be much help. Will be interesting to see how you solve them. I did pick up a Datsun conversion married D-20 the other day. The stable grows...... I may use it in the Zuke when I convert it to Dana axles this winter. Keep at it man. It's looking good. Quote Link to comment

Yeah it's weird the way they did that, All that is usable from the Bronco 20 is the input bull gear, that's the one you need to put the D18 gears in the D20. Did the married d20 come with a cradle? Any pics? Let me know if you want the file I have for the lower bolt pattern on the t-case, makes it easy to print out, punch center marks and cut. Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
Yep. Came with the cradle. No pics yet. Been buissssssssy with other things. I'll take you up on that file. Info and patterns are always a good thing. 1 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
More parts came in yesterday. Drilled some holes. Once I get the frame plates tacked in I am going to try a few ideas I thought of to keep the floor stock. 1 Quote Link to comment
denmarkboy
Sucks about the floor clearance, can it be heated and stretched enough to clear ? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
The front seat mount channel is right where I need clearance. I have the trans tilted up in the back compared to how it used to sit. I'm going to drop it down enough to clear the floor at the t-case and see where everything sits. If I can get it flat and mostly tucked I can live with that. I'll be putting a skid plate under the t-case anyway and it will be 100X better than it was before with the t-case hanging 5" below the frame unprotected. Quote Link to comment
