]2eDeYe
My buddies powder coated a few valve covers for Frank to drag to Canby. The coolest one they have done so far. Quote Link to comment

screamer510
What do you all think would pop on a grey engine in a blood red engine bay? Looking past my regular half-assed polished L series cover. Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
My valve cover painted with high temp paint with ceramic cause it's hard and glossy 1 Quote Link to comment

graveltrapp
Not the most flattering shot and not done in this photo. It is the classic black wrinkle finish. I plan to sand off the edge of the fins and paint white around the Datsun logo. I have to either get a new cap or try seating one of the Datsun wheel center cap stickers into it. JoeCool
Just spent a few hours today cleaning, sanding, polishing, and painting the center black on mine all by hand. Not quite the chrome like luster I hoped for, but it has a brushed aluminum look and looks good to me! Definitely looks better than the stained and dingy before. (Sorry about the blurriness, I guess my hands were shaky from all the work!) Just out of curiosity, how did some of you get the shiny chrome look anyway? Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Gotta wet sand it down in stages(180-1500) until you end up with a very smooth surface. After that, you go after it with polishing compound until you have a mirror finish. Some people use a polishing ball/wheel for this.. I used to work for a complete troll that told me that it's better to do it by hand. Spent 40 hours polishing it(not even exaggerating..) and ended up with a finish I wasn't all that pleased with. Wish I would've just used a polisher to begin with. 1 Quote Link to comment

Radim
Nothing fancy color wise, but I did drill three holes into a perfectly fine finned 1600 valve cover to fit the Nismo Oil Spray Bar. 2 Quote Link to comment

KELMO
That valve cover looks like it could cost more than my grey 1200 is worth. Quote Link to comment
