DISLEXICDIME Posted April 7, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 7, 2013 So after realizing the only way I could have this car drivable before canby was to wait on the rack and pinion due to spending to much money on other cars. I decided to just fix the stock steering set up . So i went to the junk yard and pulled a hl 510 steering box thinking i could swap the pitman arm and replace my currant steering box since it is clunking and sloppy . I was wrong the arms wont swap . you have to bore the center link side of the pitman arm to a larger size. After me and sssr20det figured this out he called red banner and he had a b210 box so we swung buy and he hooked me up . Thanks red banner! you rock! then phil stopped by and we figured out my center link was also bad . So i ordered a new one (witch i am still waiting on) =( then we drank beer and ate my wifes home maid carnitas ! yum=) So i took the steering box to work today and blasted it clean . then i painted it that tacoma screw high solids paint is awesome ! I dug out my other drive line so i can get it shortened since my currant drive line is a hair to short . then i i remembered the drive line i dug out was from my 4 door and had brand new u joint's in it . score! hoping to have some more updates soon . i really miss driving my dime 1 Quote Link to comment
