banzai510(hainz)
Laecaon has it down. Youll see how simple this really is unless ECU is bad. but your car wiring is questionable Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
So what happened ? No matter how hard this is for you, once you get it you will be smarter than a whole bunch of us ( especially me ) about it .. Quote Link to comment
510kevin
So what happened ? No matter how hard this is for you, once you get it you will be smarter than a whole bunch of us ( especially me ) about it .. well, i should've listened to dislexicdime in the first place. i talked to phil and he confirmed that the harnesses didnt match, and therefore would give me probs with the lights, heater and whatnot. it also kills the "key power" wire i was using. so im on the hunt for a complete harness dash to headlights. 510kevin
What year harnes and fuse box? 69/70 or 71 to 73 my dash harness/fusebox are 69/70 and the engine bay harness is 71-73 Quote Link to comment
510kevin
ok. switched out dash harness. everything seems ok so far. except the can am box. still wired up the same, except i put constant power to the "key pwr" port. so, the light comes on for "run ok" neither of the other can-am lights come on. if i ground the black/pink on the can am box, the fueln pump and light come on. ANNND...when i jump the ecu bup and the port directly next to it(sorry, not next to the car right now) the eccs light comes on  still wont start    :(  Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Is the ecu fried? Is the light on that. The ecu is what grounds the FP for you as well as making the ECCS light come on. Quote Link to comment

INDY510
. For my 1992 S13 KA24DE in the 710 .... . . I fried the stock 5-speed ECU and now have a 1993 Automatic ECU, and it runs exactly the same ... DO NOT use a 1995-98 S14 KA24DE ECU on a S13 motor....... or a S13 ECU on a S14 I got the used ECU off ebay for $40 .... .. most of them are $80-150 Quote Link to comment
