jesusno2
decided against the vg swap cause i just wanted to keep it simple so i bought a l20b with a 5 speed from a truck. put the grill back on after fixing it test fitting the l20 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
pulled l20 cleaned and scrubbed like hell to clean up my engine compartment and painted it. installed the pedals to rid of that damn auto then after i found a deal on a ka that i could not turn down the hell began! flipped crossmember Quote Link to comment

Having just done my engine bay I know what you mean about scrubbin & cleaning  It sure does make a nice backdrop for the clean fresh motor tho. jesusno2
right now im trying to find some decent tail light gaskets mine are non-existent and i gotta have em to keep the water/mud road grime outta the rear quarters. here is a pic i just went and shot. just finished installing another vw radiator and a GM style 1 wire 105 amp alternator. even got a vid of it finnaly running right Quote Link to comment
lilblackwagon
Sweet build! I'm wondering how much of the fab work you did for you ladder bar/panhard rod setup...That's awesome! Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
I did all of it in a tiny ass garage that my car and welder barley fit in. The rear suspension was a major deal lots of thinking researching etc i havent driven the car yet and im sure it will need some tuning. with those big ass rubber bushings it articulates well to keep it from binding up on the street. Pacific coast Datsun
Awesome progress so far. All quality & clean work & it shows. Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
I started this project like 2 years ago its been a major project. I didn't take a lot of pics like I should have so a lot of stuff is undocumented but its just a money pit really so I just tinker around with it as time and money permits. I have a much bigger garage now so that helps my motivation. Quote Link to comment

troyt
Very nice work on your wagon project. The rearend is especially creative, it looks well executed and I hope it works as good as it looks. What LSD unit did you use? TroyT Quote Link to comment
bonvo
right now im trying to find some decent tail light gaskets mine are non-existent and i gotta have em to keep the water/mud road grime outta the rear quarters. have you considered press-tight? you will find its used on ac systems but you can get it in a roll and cut out what you need this is what i did for the gaskets on the 610 and it doesnt leak after you take it off the roll its like giant rubber boogers and you press it into where it needs to be to make the seal 1 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
The lsd is an old roadster torsen unit I had to machine it to actually fit a 3.9 gear ratio. Bonvo enlighten me a little more on that stuff because wagon gaskets are nla from nissan and I really wanna but the body back together. Quote Link to comment
