Just Joel
So did you end up doing a 4 link or a ladder bar setup? Last I saw... Started with building a ladder bar setup, hated it so I chopped it apart and built a triangulated four link instead. 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Looks awesome!!! ... ... do you have a link to what air bags you used on the front struts? I adapted a BMW E30 strut bag application from airlift. Quote Link to comment

Another great addition to an already sick goon . nice job ! Damn, so inspirational. The vid left me just enough suspense to get me all excited like watching a Jack-in-The-Box as a kid. Beauty. Thanks all... A lot of work but I'm extremely happy with the finished product. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Here's a still of the finished product. The front cross member is on the floor and the front lower link mounts make contact as well. I narrowed the rear end to accommodate and tuck the 8.5j -17 phantoms. 4 Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
During the build, I realized it was going to become necessary to remake my exhaust system and fuel tank. Faced with a very expensive cost line associated with having these phases done by someone else, I decided it was time to step up and buy my own tig machine. After a couple you tube videos and some limited practice, I felt comfortable enough to make up a new exhaust system. I chose to go all out and went with mandrel bent, stainless 2" with magnaflow dual tip and four inch round mufflers (ran a single magnaflow before and was tired of how loud and raspy the tone was) Everything tucks under the stock frame rails so when I lay out, no clearance issues exist. This was my first tig project and I feel it went really well... Can't believe I went this long without a machine. Next is the aluminum fuel cell... Haven't done anything with aluminum yet... Wish me luck! 1 Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
Sorry for the grainy, low resolution photos... The lighting in the shop isn't the best and the cell phone camera doesn't help either. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Think I already posted this somewhere else but I should toss it in here for shits and giggles :) another grainy, horrible photo of my four link. 2 Quote Link to comment

datrod
Ya know I have an extra bedroom and a red wagon, some tools, a tig machine. Anytime you want to come spend a week or two let me know. Hell we have a nice Micro brewery we can walk to. 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Exceedingly nice Joel. I love your wagon, and really admire all the great work you've done on it. I should also specifically add how impress I am with your work to date. I'm a total Novice and hack when it comes to body and paint but your efforts have set a level of detail I can only dream of implementing on my own one day. Quote Link to comment

graveltrapp
That garage is so bright dry and warm looking, just let me dream foe a minute. Ok, your making this look to easy and professional. Great job on the exhaust, how did you decide on the welder? Happy with your choice? What model? Still dreaming... Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Went with a Miller 180 diversion air cooled unit. Based my decision on other reviews, brand loyalty (own two miller mig units already and love them both) and price. Very happy with my choice but will add that because of a lack of adjustability, she's a little shield gas hungry... Other than that I'm stoked Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Oh and I wish I could say this is my shop but it's not. I built this space out for a good friend of mine years ago and we share this rack for our personal projects. He's a Toyota specialist and has more room for his business than he knows what to do with so the arrangement works out real well for the both of us. ;) Quote Link to comment
Duke
The car is looking awesome. I'm not really a bag guy, but I really appreciate the cleanliness of the build...and I do really like low cars. Went with a Miller 180 diversion air cooled unit. Based my decision on other reviews, brand loyalty (own two miller mig units already and love them both) and price. Very happy with my choice but will add that because of a lack of adjustability, she's a little shield gas hungry... Other than that I'm stoked What is it that is causing it use to much gas? Is it a lack of pre/post flow adjustment? You should be able to run at about 15 cfh and get adequate shielding for pretty much any application (unless you are using one of those huge cups or welding titanium). Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Exactly... No pre/post adjustment. Controlled "automatically" based on amperage. It's excessively long on post flow in my novice opinion. Quote Link to comment
