Pacific coast Datsun
^^^ ya it's a simple design but will work fine. Ok just got home from an awesome score. A few days ago Guy [fontana620] turned me onto a CL ad & i could'nt believe my eyes. We met at the sellers house & picked up these......... the gate is for guy & the hood is mine. The seller had had these since 1990 & decided to finally sell em..& the price was right ;) The gate has a profesionally made skin which was bought smooth & then louvered... & heres a few pix of the sellers old 620 from the late 80's-early 90's... the hood has a few dings but they are easily fixed...:D Quote Link to comment
Bleach
very cool. Those things are hard to find these days. Quote Link to comment
dat620
VERY NICE SCORE, excuse my shouting, but those two pieces are worth shouting about, VERY NICE SCORE, sweet, can't wait to see them on both trucks, old school rules!!!! tom:D Quote Link to comment
datrod
Nice score Mark. Sorry I didn't wait for ya. But after 12 hrs I just wanted to go home. Next time.:D Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Guys, we were blown away at the condition of both panels. & yes old school does rule :D! John..i understand, next time im up that way we'll hook up. Heres the underside. Whoever did the louvers did it right,,the braces were carefully drilled out & removed then riveted back into place. BTW we told the seller about the SWDP bbq & the inland empire meet & he said he'll try to make both. Quote Link to comment
nl320_1963
Did you get the hood and gate in san Diego? If so, I am going to guess Batson's sheet metal in Santee did them. He did the louvers on my hood back in the day, although mine were innies, not outies, and the opening was toward the front of the hood. Sounds wierd, but it looked great (stealthy) and was pretty uncommon. Nice score!!! Quote Link to comment
1lo620
oh god not you to Mark...louvers...you been haging out with all those Fontana guys..... that is a hell of a deal... Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
coulda been Sir Michaels, the owner was a true datsun guy for a long time, he still has a 320 around the shop somewhere. They'll still louver datsun panels if you ask. Quote Link to comment
RatRod25
Wow great deal!!! Quote Link to comment

NL- the parts were already stamped..probably done up in L.A. dave- indeed the Fontana style is rubbing off on me ;) Jason- your probably right. Sir michaels was more than likely the company that did the job. The gate is actually a skin. rat rod- TY sir Quote Link to comment
