Bastard..
Body parts are kinda hard to come by,, but the running gear is very easy to get. Truck parts swap in very easily if needed, and from a safety standpoint they are waaaay safer than the older cars if you leave the bumpers on..I think you will be surprised by how well it motors down the road,, i sure was with my sons 79.
It`s to bad Ratsun isn't like " the olden days " any more , back when they only talked about cars and " epic " builds and such....And we didn`t have all these Noobs starting knucklehead threads in general discussions ..
Wait??
Wut??
:poke:
:pirate: Arr i be lovin this place
Yeah the boys were all put out a while ago that the woods ( the good parts ) have been gated, for fire danger.. If i have one more jacked up truck / suv parked in my yard ,,, with an idiot teenager wondering what to do with themselves because of this,, im calling my god damn legislator..
Well im not takin my rep back ,, so to me,, that is you .... :D
About that silver Z ,, you guys need to come north ,, that Z is at almost every show up here..
If it makes you feel better I was following your rigs before the whole coupe thing.. :)
The white car ( see what i did there ) ,, looks very saveable with some por15 and fiberglass on the under side, till you can find a trunk lid...Stuff sticks and seals like crazy.
I never appreciated what could be done to one of these wagons till i came across this website a year or so ago..We used to harvest the engine transmissions out for our truck projects and give the rest to the scrap / junkyard ,, many of them..
:hmm:
^^ Rainer is mostly 35 maybe 45 mph up to about 50 mph on the back side to Enumclaw,, just alot of hills and hairpin turns .
and all the fresh air you can breath.....well unless you get behind my car..
It ended up being around Hoods canal .. Rick went on to the beach but i didn`t bring my boys so i had to go home and relieve my wife from babysitting..
But Mt Rainer is a much better cruise ,, much better.... Me and FAT510 could drive slower with our flashers on, behind your 521 on I5 so nobody rearends you on the way up to Spanaway..
Because of an unforeseen windfall from a sucker buyer of MR2 parts,, lol,, I should be able to roll out to this...
me.
FAT510.
my brother Floyd.
Would like to met up with you guys in Spanaway like last year.. intersection of Pacific and Military roads
The trans is not a late ZX trans,,, guaranteed.
... Did you ever try the clutch slave rod out of your truck ?? maybe that would help...If it lugs in fifth then drive it in 4th damn-it!! When you get-er rollin at 75 south of Chehalis on the I5 you`ll be glad to have those extra legs man,, and not be passed by smart cars and such cuz your gearing is to low..
Is that Bill`s old wagoon ,, did it still have the webers or just a single carb.?? It looks like your parked on the road out to his,,,,,,uhm ,,,,, compound,, :D .
^^ , , ^^
There`s no place to bolt the clutch pedal under dash,, it`s not like the older cars,, you will have to find a pedal bracket from a manual car ( kinda hard to find anymore ) then take the old bracket out and install it in your car..I only know because me and my son just did it on his 79 510...The factory probably deleted the extra part of the bracket , that held the clutch pedal,, to save a few cent`s per car.
You might try measuring 210-310 cars for them as they are almost the same size ,, kinda.
