  3. Well just a bit of an update on the miata since it was wrecked. I don't think the Datto gods like us having miatas. Framerails bent to fuck and back, but car is not junk I'll be cutting them out and welding in new ones. Working on building a cage to help stiffen the already damaged structure of the car, the parts that matter are straight but just those frame rails are fucked. I also getting rid of the barndoors for these which I just bought: Have a gallon of satin black and paint remover on stand by, for now I'm not buying new wheels as still super pissed about the work equips.
  4. If you change your mind the 1.6 miata can take quite a bit of power from boosting and is fairly cheap since DSM turbos are pretty good for the car. The Short nose crank issue isn't hard to deal with as long as you don't have any pulley woble at the moment, I'd just thread lock it when you replace waterpump and timing belt. I've got a ceramic clutch in mine along with a HD pressure plate, its not bad for daily driving and as for the headrest speakers, they arent really needed but are a nice option.   5. I'd say the m11x is good for moderate gaming, if you expect full settings on the newest games you'll be let down. Since I travel alot I like it because its compact and gives me least some gaming on the go. I was upset they discontinued it as I was hoping for a little more powerful graphics card in the next model.

  7. Trying some zero VOC paint on the miata, satin black. Gonna stip the paint on the hood and have it polshed up good.

  8. I've got the M11x R2 myself it never leaves my side lol, super easy to pull apart and work on. I had to contact dell for the hinge issue they had on them and they had a tech out to replace it the next day, now that its out of waranty I've been thinking of painting the shell.

  12. ouch 1g for it, hopefully rebuilt? you can nab up an SC12 or SC14 cheaper. Hell, I've got a SC14 laying around and are two hours north of DFW if you are interested.

Most of the shops that sell new and used roadster parts are out that way, I wouldnt say the parts are a fortune but I'm assuming the balljoints are shot on it and worst case with my pricing. ;) Trust me, I shelled out the cost of bringing one back to daily driver status part wise and 2k will do it. I'd say around 4-5k if you want it back to factory, compared to the 510 thats not cheap but considering other cars of the same vintage its about average. Shipping was the biggest cost on my end, especially the bulky items. Roadsters aren't for those who want to make a quick buck, you have to honestly love one to do a restore job on one cause you will loose money due to the fact its a Datsun and isn't as popular as the Z cars or 510's.
  14. Not that uncommon out that way, I'd say about 2k to get it back into daily driver status. thats redoing wiring and a bunch of stuff though
  15. The front end on that thing looks fucked. I'd say 500-600 from what I'm seeing and a lot more to get it driving and usable as a daily.

  18. This sorta, I'm okay with the high priced rims on a cheap car cause it doesn't matter how much the ride cost if the owner puts love into it. I'd say these people don't ask themselves "Is this what I like or just what is popular?" I fear for the future of a lot of cars because of rust being a cheap and popular fashion accessory now. I will never understand taking a mintish car and tearing it down to look like one that came from a field vs getting one from a field and driving it around while in the process of making it mint.

  20. I say wire brush it, weld up the holes and rustoleum. Not the proper way nor the prettiest but if you are concerned about leaks and rust... lol
