DanielC
Due to the brakes not working very well, if they are not adjusted on a very regular basis, I would say front end parts, and trim. This 521 is pretty picked over, but the doors are there, with glass. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
I was out at Sherwood Pick-n-Pull, the windshield on the 521 looked OK, but you really do not know until you clean it. I grabbed the left fender, the taillights, and harness, and the fan shroud. The radiator might be good, it is in the bed, left rear corner. You didn't grab the windshield? What do they want for it there? Quote Link to comment

I'm hitting the place up tomorrow for a more thorough inspection. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Windshields at PnP are $40, all day every day. You can look at their pricing online Wayno. Hence why there are no negotiations there. Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
L You didn't grab the windshield? What do they want for it there? Looked up the price they want 40 for the windshield and 10 for the rubber Quote Link to comment
wayno
Was it still there when the place closed? I have to deal with 4 cord of wood over the next two days, so I don't want to drive all the way out there to find it gone. I am having a hard time beleaving it is still there with all you guys that have looked at it. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Here is what I'm dealing with: Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Grab the bumperettes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
wayno
Grab the bumperettes and the brackets, you need the brackets to mount them. Shit, that thing looks good, that hood looks great, can't tell on the windshield. People want them taillights also. Quote Link to comment
SHORTDOG
What's the condition of those "ST" wheels? and how much do they run up there? also, is there any good parts on that blue 720 in the background? Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Here is what I'm dealing with: Tail lights, side marker lights, bumperettes w/brackets, entire bed, hood emblem, red hazard switch if it has one, glove box parts, gas door parts, front end trim & valance & turn signal panel...all good stuff. Those bed corners look pretty nice - can you cut them off if nobody grabs the complete bed? I'd be interested in those, the hood ornament, glove box handle, fender emblems, as well as clean marker lights (rust free buckets). Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Man, didn't know everyone was hurting for parts. I'll scope everything out tomorrow and will give out more details. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Oh, clean interior door panels too! Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I remember the interior being pretty good I think... The floors were shitty, but I think the rest was good. Quote Link to comment
Phixius
where is this? bremerton/silverdale? bring a razor knife with you for the windshield, you gotta cut that shit out... Quote Link to comment
Tristin
where is this? bremerton/silverdale? Ish. I'll just be checking the condition of the windshield as I don't think I can fit it in Minty. If it's nice and someone needs/wants it I can make arrangements to grab it. Quote Link to comment
tdaaj
Just buy the whole damn truck, scrap is at $150 a ton right now, truck weighs 2700, truck could probly be had for $400. Damn damn damn, wished I had seen this yesterday. Would have hooked the trailor up and went for a drive today. DAMN, I need a parts truck Quote Link to comment
ArchetypeDatsun
Do any of you guys know if purchasing a whole car from the wrecking yard is possible? There's a car in Eugene, Oregon at B&R Auto Wrecking that I really want and nothing has been taken off it yet saw on eBay and on there website. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Yes you can. I've done it before. Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
You can but its probably harder the bigger the wrecking yard is. Money talks with the small yards but with the big ones you have a low wage employee following corporate rules. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I do not think a 521 would weigh 2700 with 500 pounds of crap in the bed. Owners manual says truck weights 2127. 1 Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
Yeah I think it depends on the yard and what state. A friend tried to buy a whole car but they said they couldn't do it. They did say they could chop it in half and sell it to him. Defeated the purpose cause he wanted the shell. Lame. Quote Link to comment
ArchetypeDatsun
Ah I see thanks guys well the place is B&R Auto Wrecking in Eugene, Oregon. I just wanted to know for sure hopefully these guys are able to do it would be a shame to see a nice car go. Quote Link to comment

Lol pulling numbers out of my arse, funny thing is, I remember pulling one over the scales and seem to remember 27 somethin, maybe the 500# bumper on the back? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I got the windshield from the Sherwood PnP. Delaminating maybe about 3/4 inch from the edge, but the seal covers part of that. No cracks or scratches. 521 windshields fit on the backseat of a wagon. This is my second windshield I have brought home in the wagon. 1 Quote Link to comment
