Hey Hang, no the front plate is a repro my wife bought me and the rear I washed, steel wooled, used rubbing compound, polished, and waxed. If you look at my early pages (prob around page 3 or 4) you can see what I did. It really cleaned up nice. I'll get back to your PM soon. Quote Link to comment
71DIMER Posted May 27, 2010 Author Report Share Posted May 27, 2010 I hate running wheels with no center caps, looks cheap to me so I've been testing these center cap 'alternatives' to see if they hold. They're not wheel center caps so don't have any tabs to hold them in place but are the just about the right diameter for my Watanabe's but are not made of hard plastic so I couldn't wedge them in tightly so I wasn't sure if they'd fly off while driving. So far it's been 2 months and they're still holding on! Quote Link to comment

I little changes have happened since, like my engine did get swapped out due to a oil leak at the head/block so I found a local guy selling his whole drivetrain (L16, 5 speed transmission, dual Mikuni's), so everything minus the dual Mikuni's got swapped so not it's back to running great. I also just scored a new set of 15" Work Equip 03 wheels so I decided to give the old gal a little shine and take some pics...here they are... 71DIMER Posted April 25, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 Well some bad news this past weekend. Long story short is I need another L series engine. I was on my way to the 2nd annual Japanese Classic meet up here in Nor Cal but along the way I had some 'minor' engine problems... Here's my wagon along the side of the road all helpless: Finally getting towed home (only 3 hours later and only after a bunch of idiotic roadside assistance mishaps along the way!): And here's the 'minor' damage I was talking about...doh! So if any of you local Nor Cal guys have a L16 laying around, please let me know, I want to get my goon back on the road asap! Quote Link to comment
