Destruction is Destruction, Ratsun is Ratsun, it is still a car forum for those of us who love Datsuns, Nissans, and other things where individuals who try, by necessity or principle, to make the most of what they have.  It is not Destruction that will ruin Ratsun, it is the rising value of the vehicles we love. Like in all things, popularity brings profit, profit brings people, people destroy. 

I like Destruction, truthfully, I like working on my projects more, strike that, I like getting projects completed more, but all my projects take money, and money is lacking, ranting on Destruction is free.

I'm going to disagree on the not swaying anyone's opinion thing, I've known it to happen with others I've seen it and I myself have changed my mind on things I didn't believe previously. I do not expect the believer to change but the people that don't really spend time in political discussion might because they believe things with the flimsiest support because they were basically told so.

I'd have to guess the traffic on this site is doing fairly well, a lot of that is this thread, 729 pages in 4 years or 15 pages a month.

Post-tits generated 7.5 pages per month and Post-ass 5.8 pages per month. I really don't like the thought of this site dying like my other favorite car sites so what ever keeps things churning and alive I'm all for.

I like you Ooph!, I respect your critically thought out positions. MSM shares your perspective on this rating are ratings right? . I dont want this shit when I come here, Ratsun isn't supposed to be about this. there is only 1 ratsun, there are literally countless places to talk about the worlds problems. why the fuck does it need to be here is all im saying. Mike keeps it alive for HIS entertainment, I have it on good account he isn't very popular outside of this forum because he runs this site like it's his not the communities. This site owned and paid for by a good friend of mine whom as I far as I know has never chimed in on the destruction thread. There are no ads nor do thread views make a bit of difference to ANYTHING! As for you not liking politics on the site, I ABSOLUTY LOATH Volkswagen but there are several VW projects posted in the other cars section. It is not difficult to avoid clicking on them even though I do out of a masochistic indulgence once in a while!  😜

Yep Im 100% certain Jeff isn't interested in the thread either. Too busy with real life shit. He obviously leaves the forum to be managed by others. Do those VW threads stay at the top so anyone new to our forum starts to explore its vw in their face, nah thats not a solid enough comparison bro also the whole world isn't talking Volkswagen everywhere else either.  In fact as a vw fan also I can tell you the vw forums arent allowing the politics. Thats for Facebook. The mods at samba delete immediately. its not a healthy addition to the forum nor does it have any benefit to the community.

I see both side to the no politics on a car forum thinking, maybe a compromise could be possible to hide the thread so only members that have a certain amount of posts can see it kind of like posting photo's here, maybe some other idea I dunno.

 I know there is no revenue and am grateful they run it this way all I was bringing out was the fact that this thread is very popular with some of us. I come here and argue because it seems as if most people posting on the thread seem to also enjoy the back and forth, I honestly believe that it does bring about critical thought, well at least in me.

 Regardless of what happens to the political threads, I may not like it but I'll still visit.

Alright, Ive expressed  my and others concerns about the continued direction of ratsun. Really no more points to be made, it's just getting personal now..I mean you know the owner right? yeah. whatever. By the way mike, if you can find your way off this thread at some point there's a transimission post by a new guy still learning the forum architecture in the event section you may want to move....

This is funny.  Trump literally weaponized the FBI and forced an investigation into his running mate at exactly the right time.  Timing being emphasized.  Don't excuse it with Hillary was guilty shit, it wasn't done in an effort to prosecute.  I can't stand her and never could.  But you need to stand on something when you speak, and this is a straight up pot calling kettle black.  Only difference was he had the FBI open an investigation, won the presidency, and failed to prosecute.  Trump never cared about locking her up, he literally just did it for the vote.  

 

regardless of the extent of scrutiny, there surely has never been a president with a similar catalogue of evidence of high crimes.  Trump takes that cake.

I respect your opinion about the politics thing but nobody forces anybody to look at "Destruction of America"  At least here differing opinions can be seen unlike sites like Farcebook where a right minded person with an opinion will get shut down immediately. There's a fishing forum I look at daily where they decided to put political discussion in a place where you had to look for it in the forums list. None of the new posts showed up as "new posts" so it wasn't on the main menu page.

I'm confused, you're saying Trump had the FBI investigate Hillary before he was even elected ? How did he do that considering he had NO authority as a candidate ?
