phatdave
Well I at that ponit where I need to get some knid of exhaust on my truck. I have a header on it and I have a Ractive muffler hanging out on back. A: I need to either pay a muffler shop to do it. B: Figure out how to do it myself. Does anybody here have the know how? Mike Klotz....do you know how by chance?.Anybody? dd:fu: Quote Link to comment
yello620
I don't find exhaust work to be worth my time to even attempt. It's not worth it. Just take it to a shop that comes from a positive recommendation and let them take care of it. It is not always the shop that is good, but rather one installer at that shop. Classic Muffler II in Vancouver--Robert. This shop cant be too far from you and i have seen very good work come from his shop. I used to work two shops away. Located on St Johns Rd. Right off SR500. About a mile from the tuesday night meets. Assuming he is still in this location. Jason Quote Link to comment
phatdave
I talked to an older mechanic friend of the family about exhaust work. He put dual exhaust on his old Chevy truck and said it isn't all that hard. I figure it couldn't be that much different than working with ABS or any other of the plastic pipes I plumbed our 7000 gallon Koi pond. I fugure I can build an exhaust system. Pipe is pipe. I'm sure it would cost at least 250.00 dollars for a system by a shop. I can use the savings for other things on the truck ....So again has anybody done one themselves? dd:fu: Quote Link to comment
kiznook
Dave, Take it up to Hazel Dell Muffler and get a quote from them. Like Yello said, It really isn't worth your time and trouble if you can get someone else to do it, and they'll probably do a better job! Quote Link to comment
