Draker
What do you do when you are doing your final blocking before base coat and you hit metal on a corner or something? Should you reshoot primer? I know if it's a high spot you should deal with it, but if you just got a little carried away blocking an edge, how should that be dealt with? I'm going through this now. 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Depends if it's an actual high spot or you just got carried away. I'd say shoot it with primer and block again. If it seems off, take it down and fix it. 1 Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
These Swede finish paint jobs are very forgiving. If this was a high 10 out of 10 paint jobs i would do things a bit different. i have to remember this is a 10k car, not a 10k paint job. The owner knows. I do get carried away alot. I like to seal my paint jobs with DP primer sealer epoxy. so small areas where you break threw, not a big deal. however if you do not seal your paint job then break thews need to be reprimed Sanding is 98% done Bead blast, new bushings and pins. 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Thanks for that explanation. I didn't plan on sealing it. I'll just buy some compatible 1k primer and hit the spots and sand it down again. 2 Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
Painted, another swede paint job. so ez to get carried away. Cant forget to paint the upper exposed area in the quarters no room in the booth painted the hood outside Still need to paint the trunk lid, front apron and the cowl 4 Quote Link to comment
